Once the Power and Gas training at Utilities Academy are completed, you will be signed off to show you are competent, but not qualified for your apprenticeship. Utilities Academy in partnership with Euskills and employers will not sign off any apprentice until the apprenticeship has been fully completed and you have passed the endpoint assessment. Smart Metering apprenticeships normally last 12 months, the majority of the apprenticeship is hands-on and field-based.
The Utilities Academy training facility has been specifically developed to offer practical Smart Meter training and to challenge the best engineers in the industry.
Using our practical utilities experience we have developed hands-on training to address the needs of future engineers and included the necessary scenario based training facilities. This gives trainees the right skills and know how to overcome the most difficult of situations whilst in the field.
